can you explain a little bit of your process? Because it looks a bit like a digital painting the finished piece. Did you use the AO rendering as a base for painting in Photoshop?
I'm really surprised when you think that I overpainted the AO rendering. Just look at my 2D/Photoshop paintings in my gallery so you know that my actual 2D skill is not that good. Here I just show the wireframe and the AO rendering as rough/non-texture model along with closeups. I DID NOT call it a process. Here's the early process : [link]
I thought your 2d stuff was pretty good actually in my opinion. I hope I didn't upset you by my comment, I was just curious as to how you came to your end result, and was making an un-educated guess when I asked about the AO overpainting, not an assumption.
It's okay . I wasn't upset at all ^^. When you make a separate AO rendering of the scene and then lay it on your final rendered image as (an) Overlay or Multiply layer(s) with appropriate opacity , it helps strengthening the contrast and depths/distances of the scene. That was why I had it .
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
